Resilience
Resilience reflects both my personal journey and my professional experiences. I have pivoted careers, completed demanding academic programs, and worked in settings where emotional strength was essential. Caring for older adults has shown me that resilience is not about being unaffected; it's about remaining grounded, adapting when needed, and continuing to provide safe care in the face of uncertainty. Research highlights that resilience supports reflective growth and helps nurses maintain their ability to practice safely over time (Mann et al., 2009). For me, resilience is the value that helps me push through self-doubt, maintain focus, and remain committed to becoming the best nurse I can be.
